Queensbury Queens is a cycling club for women, founded in 2016 by the women of Queensbury (and surrounding areas) in West Yorkshire.
Whether you are a seasoned cyclist, or haven't been on your bike for 20 years, Queensbury Queens of the Mountain (QQoM) has something to offer you. We run a range of rides (find out more) for beginners upwards.
Although the majority of our riding is done on the roads, we also run occasional mountainbike rides. Part of our ethos is about encouraging more women to ride, and we have a ' buddy/loan' scheme to help nervous potential new members take the leap.
In 2022 we launched our Race Team for riders interested in developing the skills for the speedier, more competitive side of riding and are funding club members to attain coaching qualifications so we can continue to promote and support women’s cycling from beginner to professional level.
The club has an active social scene, with regular 'off the bike' events such as nights out, cinema trips and spa days, and our longer rides usually involve a café stop with cake and a catch up.
We have a very active Facebook page, Twitter feed and Instagram where you can find out more and link up with current members and see what we've been up to.
